Symbol Description

Cat symbolism is highly ambiguous and profuse. They are associated with agility, sensuality, domestic bliss, playfulness, independence and "feminine" malice. They were very important as mousers in the Middle Ages. Many saints are associated with cats, like St. Agatha, and St. Yves, but in the 16th century they also were linked with witches.
