Symbol Description
On the one hand clouds are related to the symbolism of mist, signifying forms as phenomena and appearance, always in a state of change, which obscure the truth. On the other hand they are associated with Neptune and the waters and have a connection with fertility-symbolism and fecundity. Thus ancient Christian symbolism says the cloud is synonymous
with the prophet, since prophecies fertilize heavenly events.
